glow.anim.css refactor

Reported by Stephen Elson | July 17th, 2009 @ 02:54 PM | in 2.0

The interface for glow.anim.css works but looks a little clumsy. Let's have a look at other possibilities for this.

Passing each frame through the events system may be a performance hit. We could either not use the events system for frames, or build something into glow.events that lets you fire 'light' events which are faster but lack features. Needs speed testing to see how much of a problem it is.

Some libraries let you transition between class names, but the class names aren't sensitive to the element's position in the dom. Also, if the class name is in a stylesheet on another (sub)domain, we won't be able to get at it for security reasons (mainly in firefox).

I think Timeline works as an interface, but other opinions are welcome.
