Carousel navigation breaking after removing item

The Carousel left/right navigation breaks once an item is removed from the items list using removeItem(). This only happens when using pageNav = true.
Clicking on the left/right links doesn't seem to call a function after an item has been removed. The '#' link is executed instead.

Manual tests show that this fault occurs when adding or removing an item, with pageNav set to true. The page dots still function, but the arrows no longer function..
